If/Then & Frozen's Idina Menzel Roars Into The Lion King

When you're riding high as the star vocalist in a smash-hit Disney animated movie, it makes sense to spend a Sunday afternoon at a smash-hit Disney stage musical. Idina Menzel, a.k.a. Elsa in Frozen and Broadway-bound star of If/Then, warmed up at the January 12 matinee performance of The Lion King. After thrilling to Julie Taymor's incredible production, the Tony-winning actress went backstage at the Minskoff Theatre to congratulate headliners Alton Fitzgerald White (Mufasa) and Mukelisiwe Goba (Rafiki). It's great to see Idina back at a Broadway theater, and we'll see her on stage again on March 5, when If/Then begins previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
